JUDGING CRITERIA

 

THE PROCESS

 

Started March 2, 2014 the public was invited to either self-nominate or nominate someone they felt deserved to be recognized in one of the many categories. Nominations were accepted online only. Once the nominations close, a team of auditors verifies all nominations and through independent scrutiny, prepares a list of nominees.

 

AWARD JUDGING

 

Once the official list of nominees are announced for each state a panel of select judges read, review and recommend winners in all categories, except the Jeanette "Cookie" Dabney, Pastor Cassendra Elliot, Woman of the Year, Editor's Choice, Servant Leader and Living Legend categories. Winners are announced the night of the Award Show.  

 

JUDGING CRITERIA

 

All judges receive written instructions about how to score entries. Judges are asked to score the biographies, achievements and letters of recommendation submitted for a particular category. Community reputation, experience, level of success, and or potential for growth are a few factors to be considered. We do not have a public voting system. Judging is based on the information you yourself submit. We want to hear your passion and feel your heart in your own words. All submissions must be received 2 weeks before the show to be considered. 

 

You must be in attendance to win. It is not fair to those who have taken the time to make the show a priority only to have someone who does not value the nomination win. You should get at least your ticket 5 days before the show. We will not know if you are participating otherwise. Please note, IF YOUR NAME IS CALLED AND YOU ARE NOT IN ATTENDANCE, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE AWARD. THIS INCLUDES IF YOU DECIDE TO LEAVE EARLY. NO AWARDS WILL BE MAILED.

 

• The founder and staff including the Regional Director is not eligible to win.

• To be nominated for an ACHI Magazine Award is a privilege and not a right. 

• All public nominations are just a request. 

• Final selection is the right of ACHI WSWA staff. 

• One’s conduct and character also contributes to determining who will win. 

• We reserve the right to reject or disqualify any nominee who does not display the character fitting of the ACHI Magazine brand.

• Please note; all categories must have at least 3 accepted nominees to be a qualified category.

• Recommendations are not required.

 

PLEASE NOTE, WHILE THIS PROCESS HAS BEEN IN PLACE SINCE 2014, ACHI DOES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE PROCESS AT ANY TIME AND WITHOUT NOTICE.
