Upon receiving her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from San Jose State University in California, Aubrey Aquino has embarked on a journey of perpetual growth as a reporter, host, and producer. Aubrey has successfully established herself as an expert in her field. From her time as a news reporter for KGOK NBR in San Francisco, California, to her current partnership with Chris Reckling on the Hampton Roads Show in southeastern Virginia. As a Sports Host/Reporter, Aubrey is fantastic! Her stint began with KPNX in Phoenix, Arizona, bringing her to Fox Sports Net/Sun Sports. Her knowledge and excitement for the game stems from her experience as an NFL Cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders and Phoenix Cardinals and dancer for the NBA Sacramento Kings. Aubrey states, “Because I've cheered in both the NBA and NFL, I'm a lot closer to the world of professional sports. In my career, I’ve been on the sidelines; experience excitement in the stands and just the whole experience of being involved in professional sports and entertainment.” In 2011, Aubrey coauthored The Ultimate Guide to Becoming a Pro Cheerleader to help motivate and inspire the next generation of cheerleaders. It is not difficult to see why Aubrey is successful. She loves her work. It's who she is!

Aubrey continues to make her imprint in the media world, reporting and hosting as she demonstrated on the Hampton Roads Show on Thursday, January 29, 2015, prior to Super Bowl XLIX. She knew the game and easily shared the conversation and banter with Chris Reckling. The discussion referenced whether Seattle Seahawks quarterback Richard Sherman should play in the game or return to his girlfriend who was due to deliver their first child. She diplomatically addressed the needs of Sherman’s girlfriend, Ashley Moss and yet understood that this was the Super Bowl. Aubrey spoke both as a sports host and as a mother, identifying with the feelings of both sides’.

In May 2014, Aubrey signed on to WAVY/FOX 43 as the new cohost of the Hampton Roads Show. Aubrey has committed to a threeyear contract with the Hampton Roads Show. Aubrey was hired initially as a journalist but became the cohost instead. She has a natural public relations personality, a willingness to identify with people, and listen to their side of a story. Aubrey has had quite the career first as an Entertainment Correspondent at WSVNTV, Deco Drive Media in Miami, Florida. During her stint with Deco, she interviewed a wide range of celebrities such as Hugh Jackman, Meryl Streep, John Travolta, Patrick Dempsey, Serena Williams and Steven Tyler. In addition, Aubrey has teamed up with E! News, NFL Network, Fox Sports Net, and television stations in California, Arizona, and southern Oregon. Aquino also made her acting debut in the first season of the ESPN original series “Beg, Borrow, and Deal”. The reality show pitted her team against another in a crosscountry race where sports related tasks were to be completed, relying on wit and sports knowledge, carrying only an ID and the clothes on your back! In 2009, Aubrey launched “On the Flipside", a sports lifestyle magazine show where she acted as both producer and host. Hampton Roads is very fortunate to have Aubrey with her rich, diverse background in reporting, hosting, and producing.
